Avalanche Kaito
Avalanche Kaito

Kaito Winse, a young griot from Burkina Faso based in Brussels teams up with two musicians from the European underground scene. This avalanche of pure data with post punk attitude mingled with ancestral roots could be called « Griot Punk Noise ».

Clara!
Clara!

Following a passion for the empowering perreo that started in the 00s at her teenage parties in Galicia, Spanish MC and DJ Clara! blends revolt, sex and humor on reggaeton/rap mutant rhythms with a punk spirit and a feminist foundation. For this infectious and twisted take on the gender she joins forces with eclectic producers including Pearson Sound, Low Jack and Maoupa Mazzocchetti.

Her DJ sets consist of wide ranging, tempo hopping mixes, lead by her hispanic roots, a blind curiosity, fun and a deep love of dancing. Her iconic “Reggaetoneras” mixtapes compiled 100% female reggaeton MCs with rhythms from the ‘90s up to the modern day. Crammed with rude drums and hooks levered from major dance hits, and sandwiched with skits and personal edits.

Professional Activities

Wallonie-Bruxelles Musiques is a partner of the festival for the fifth time and supports artists through promotion, networking and visibility actions. A selection of professionals from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation will also make the trip to Lisbon.

The Festival, and the respective artistic program of this year’s edition, returns to Cais do Sodré, while the Convention, which welcomes professionals from the cultural world, will continue at the Beato Creative Hub. Full pro program is available here

For this year's edition, the festival has announced an artistic residency as its opening show: During 5 days, producers BLEID (PT), Clara! (BE), Blck Mamba (BE) and BRAVA! (EUS) will get together in the studio to share repertoire and create new songs in an artistic residency resulting from a partnership between MIL, Musika Bulegoa and Belgium Booms (VI.BE & WBM). The final result will be presented in MIL's opening show on September 28th at 10pm in B.Leza. Expect everything: PC Music, rave, afrobeats, hard drums, grime, reggaeton, techno, amapiano and whatnot.

Also, don't forget to join us on Friday 30th for the Belgium Booms cocktail.
